Fire up the coffee For I've found that feeling Floating through my bones The need to flee All that static And electronic hum Sometimes all it takes is sunshine Other times I find myself miles from home Sea oats, palms, or pine Find the itch to ride And no telling where I'll roam I've got a case of the restless legs Tireless wandering through my head If you catch my roaming around town to town It's these restless legs pulling me around Once outside and again feeling free A sudden change in priority Everywhere to go No place to be And I'd walk till I died if it weren't for All them memories The thought of my home and all my friends They begin to turn me around again I've got a case of the restless legs Tireless wandering through my head If you catch my roaming around town to town It's these restless legs pulling me around

when i got word from my old friend we were headed to the mountains again had a dead end job at a water street bar waiting for my shift to begin but we lit on down the freeway assorted bottles within arms reach i began to forget my date at the bar with the mop bucket and bottle of bleach by the time we made it to greensboro i had already been fired my mind was fixed on whiskey drinking with old friends around a fire up in the mountains where the whiskey flows quick around a fire while the time creeps slow up turn bottles in the name of jamestown shooting the shit as we pass them around slid down that driveway to find a serene and ice cold stream the frigid water would chill our beer and keep our souls free and at ease the aromas rise of southern smoked pig and weed in the air deep in the cut we carried on free from worry and our cares those who made it to sun down help ready the fire talking story and telling lies as we hand the guitars around

Full Time 02:37
first time he saw her he was sitting there in church he sat down next to her in that pretty sunday skirt he knew he loved that woman he'd never be the same she be his full time loving woman his full time ball and chain she don't smoke marijuana she don't drink whiskey too she don't need beer from a bottle she don't do the things i do they don't always see eye to eye that's mainly due to height and if you're getting out of line be ready for a fight
4.
Her Fire 03:01
it may burn with a fury wild other times a gentle glow but surely without it all thats left is dark and cold brought light on so many days shined so true the lost at sea follow it to the shore starts my cigarettes burns away the cold keeps me from growing old and though it has been a while surely i'll find that wild glow i caught in your eye after closing time long ago

there's an old stretch of highway winding down from sequoia rolls right past a ramshackle lodge the fireplace is going the owners boyfriend and her ex-boyfriend tend the bar and do the cookin' they fight about who brews the best coffee and who's a better lover yeah, things get weird while you roam the road doesn't care what you're after you can't always see round the bend could be clear skies and green pastures or a white knuckle ride to the end bill he used to race stock cars up until the wreck rich has been hitching his way through the country still hasn't found his home yet the road brought them to sequoia searching for the same old flame they fight about who brews the best coffee and who's a better lover

hobos don't call it camping when sleeping out in the trees it's just the human condition that makes us yearn to be free i throw my worries in the wind and get to wanderin' again i want to get under dark skies away from big city lights where the stars are burning real bright i'll be feeling alright i'm not sure i'm meant to live this way all boxed into these neat little places some days i really dont mind but today i'm looking for them open spaces
7.
sitting in the corner of this tiny little bar trying to think of what songs to sing he said it doesn't matter is the song in a key start playing he'll know just what play so pour him another shooter he'll be out back looking for weed life ain't always far or easy and you can't always fly on one wing take a break for a smoke he's out cracking jokes and one liners between songs with that guitar in his hand there wasn't a damn thing funny the way he could play so pour him another shooter he'll be out back looking for weed life ain't always far or easy and you can't always fly on one wing life ain't always far or easy it's just another song in a key

Tongue Tied 04:25
it's the sight of her eyes that will make you crave more summon the bar keep another stiff pour drink up some courage and roll the dice but you drop a line where hello would suffice the words stall and sputter as you stand there beside her like a stick shift with a first timer behind the wheel terribly tongue tied the well dressed drunk is talking to loud explaining all the easy success that he's found assures me his father owns this town says the girls are easy when the money's around asks for my name as i stare through the wall terribly tongue tied toward the likes of that man

black flags fly ocean's on the rise winds batter the sea from blue into white fishermen pull out their boats lose a days pay find the cheapest booze around and drink the day away an early start as they brace for the storm we sit on the porch our eyes toward the sky black clouds upon us the dogs start to whine we watch silent and mystified but oh so calm meanwhile the acting weatherman flails about frantically beer cans and thunder crack in harmony everyone hoping we make out alright as we take in Her show through the night when summer falls down to southern seas carolina will be calling out to me when summer falls down to southern seas carolina calls out to me
